Elementary School Problem Solving Math
This course is designed to be both challenging and enjoyable, with a focus on problem-solving. It is a comprehensive, full-year curriculum that can serve as a replacement for traditional math instruction at home. The course is based on the text by Beast Academy. The series teaches math through reasoning and problem-solving, and students are required to complete weekly assignments at home. The classes are geared towards children who have a passion for mathematics or enjoy tackling challenging problems. The course is offered in 4 levels.

Prerequisite
An assessment test will be sent to those who signed up.
Level 2: Student should be able to count beyond 100 by 1’s, 5’s, and 10’s, know basic shapes, be able to add and subtract numbers from 1 to 20, and be able to solve simple word problems.
Level 3: Student should be comfortable adding and subtracting multi-digit numbers and must have a solid understanding of place value.
Level 4: Student should understand the basics of perimeter and area, multiplication and division, measurement, fractions, and estimation.
Level 5: Student should be familiar with variables, adding and subtracting integers and decimals, and multiplying whole numbers with fractions.
