Education Advising and College Planning

My approach to college advising was forged through homeschooling my own children. As their teacher and counselor, I built their education from the ground up, without a template, designing experiences that were creative, rigorous, and deeply connected to who they were as learners. I wanted them to love learning, not just succeed at it. That philosophy carried them into highly selective colleges, and it is the same philosophy I bring to every student I work with today.

What I have learned from years of coaching this is that students who are genuinely engaged in their education, who have pursued what fascinates them, contributed to their communities, and built real experiences around their passions, arrive at the college application process with something most applicants lack: a portrait of who they truly are, rendered so clearly that no other applicant could claim it. My job is to help every student get there. I start by understanding how they think, what draws them in, and where their strengths lie. From there I help shape an academic path and extracurricular life that reflects who they actually are.

While my roots are in the homeschooling community, I bring this same depth of attention to students from every educational background, grounded always in the belief that a genuine love of learning, a curiosity about the world, and a desire to contribute to it shapes who they become.
